    Happy Home Wedding.
A quiet and happy home wedding took place at the home of Mr. Marcus Abrams of Mount Ivy, on Sunday last [4 Mar 1900], when Miss Nettle Abrams became the happy bride of Mr. David Barnes, of Middletown, a brother of Mrs. Edward Holt of this village. The bride was tastefully attired in a golden brown traveling dress, and was attended by the grooms sister, Miss Lulu M. Barnes, as bridesmaid, while the bride's brother, Mr. Erwin Abrams, was best man. The Rev. Amzi Smith performed the ceremony.
Among the many friends present were Mr. and Mrs. Josiah Conklin, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Holt, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace R. Garrison and Miss Ella Abrams, of this village and the Misses Barnes, of Middletown. After receiving the hearty congratulations of their friends, the happy couple started on a wedding tour which is to include Washington and other southern points of interest. Miss Jessie Springsteen during during [sic] the ceremony and festivities presided at the organ in her usual excellent manner.
